CIS observers positively assess voting process in Kyrgyzstan
International observers of the mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly positively assessed the voting process in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the mission Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists.
According to him, the mission is represented by parliamentarians from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Russian Federation. “We are in Bishkek for the third day. We had meetings in the Central Election Commission, with groups “for” and “against” the referendum. And today we are morning the elections since morning,” Eduard Sharmazanov said.
“We very positively assess all that CEC of Kyrgyzstan has managed to make. Electronic voting minimizes the human factor. The voting showed that all goes well, in accordance with the national legislation and that the world community,” he added.
Today Kyrgyzstan hosts a referendum to amend the Constitution and the elections to local councils. The referendum is observed by about 150 representatives from 25 countries and 33 international organizations.
